BriAnne is a qualified teacher and former university lecturer. While lecturing at university she found she had many students that needed additional support for anxiety, situational mutism, study strategies, and group work, and while she could provide that in her own classes, she couldn’t help her neurodiverse students more broadly. Frustrated by this, she went into secondary education.
As a secondary educator BriAnne connected well with her neurodiverse students and enjoyed keeping learning playful while also explicitly teaching learning skills. In this position BriAnne also observed that neurodiverse families and the educators in their lives did not always seem to speak the same language. Sometimes the complexity of school processes or teacher jargon got in the way of good communication.
As a member of a neurodiverse family, BriAnne understands the challenges faced by neurodiverse families every day. So bringing together all of her experiences helping neurodiverse students manage school AND home life, Neuroaware Education was conceptualised.
BriAnne brings to you a range of teaching strategies and an inside knowledge of how schools and universities work, to support your neurodiverse family through your educational journey.
